As a UX Designer with over 8 years of experience, I help organizations design intuitive products that solve user needs and meet business outcomes. I follow a human-centered design process guided by research and polished by product strategy. I have experience taking projects through the entire product lifecycle — from inception, to launch, and beyond.
My work ranges from conducting research and crafting beautiful user interfaces, to defining unique visual languages and creating design systems. I consider myself a lifetime learner and team builder. I enjoy design collaboration, process development, and effective project management.
Before a product can be built, one has to understand its context for existence. Here I seek to understand business objectives, user needs, and uncover the problems. This is done through a number of activities such as user interviews, competitive analysis, heuristic evaluation, surveys, and problem refining.
Various strategies can be used to refine research into concrete deliverables that will make up the framework of a product. Here, stories, maps, and personas are created to align teams and define outcomes. Design takes many forms such as mockups, prototypes, interactions, and more. Informed design is the best kind of design.
Testing is an opportunity to review performance, aggregate feedback and make improvements. The best products are those that are constantly evolving through strategic testing. As product design is an iterative process, I am regularly making updates based on user and stakeholder feedback.
This is my bread and butter. I have experience leading the end-to-end UX design process for a number of success products and web apps. I am comfortable creating user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes that help visualize the design solution. I am experienced in conducting user research and usability tests that both inform the design decision and measure the design success.
Leadership takes a number of forms. I hone my leadership skills through partnering cross-functionally with stakeholders to establish a shared vision, strategy, and roadmap on whatever product I'm working on. I have experience managing product development teams through the agile development process - helping to refine stories and tasks for clear development implementation. I also enjoy mentoring my peers. We are better when we share our experience with one another. I've done this when I'm instructing UX/UI bootcamps and in the work setting by conducting design syncs and reviews.
